What is Precast?
HOME What is Precast?

DEFINITION; Fiber reinforced concrete, also known as GRC (glass reinforced cements composites) GFRC (glass reinforced fiber cements composites) in the world and used in building applications after 1970s, has been used in our country since 1980s.

Concrete; It is a hydraulic binder product containing cement, aggregate and water. To a prepared concrete; On the other hand, to the concrete obtained by adding natural or artificial materials with irregular fiber structure; It is called fiber reinforced concrete. It has geometry; steel, glass or plastic fibers are used. Our product is a type of glass fiber reinforced concrete in the fiber reinforced concrete group.

AR type – alkali resistant glass fiber is used as fiber reinforcement in the production of new generation precast concrete. E-type glass fibers, on the other hand, should not be used due to the melting of cement in the face of alkaline effects over time.

PRODUCTION; precast elements we produce; It is obtained by applying the mixture formed with white cement + special silica sand + various chemicals + AR type glass fiber + water to steel, polyester, wooden or silicone molds.

In our product, steel or iron reinforcement is not used especially as it can cause surface capillary cracks in possible earthquakes and vibrations.

Glass fibers, which are very well dispersed in Portland cement mortar, serve as reinforcement. Precast concrete elements, whose fiber additive material is alkali-resistant glass fiber, offers great design flexibility by providing the desired form and surface texture.

The FTB material we produce is applied to any of the polyester, steel or wooden molds in accordance with the details in such a way that the detail is required to form the required thickness, and the precast element is ready for assembly after the necessary setting stages.

ASSEMBLY; During the application, concrete, brick, ytong dowels are used according to the place and floor where the element will be applied, and it is mounted by welding or screwing by using galvanized anchor elements or constructions where necessary. Joint filling is done with polyurethane-based mastics at the joints of the precast elements.
